The shawl collar is crocheted tightly at the top of the neck to keep the neck nice and warm. The lower part is crocheted more airily with a beautiful relief pattern, so that not too much warmth develops under the jacket.

You should be able to do the following stitches: Chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and treble.
