These Chickens are real eye-catchers.
Especially in spring or for Easter they are a beautiful highlight.

All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for (practiced) beginners as well.
This pattern contains 12 pages of crochet instructions and 26 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.

Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increases and (invisible) decreases, crocheting in back loops – explained.
The figures are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals, and back and forth in rows.

The figures get to be ca. 13 cm, 24 cm, and 34 cm tall (with 3.0 mm hook and DK yarn or two strands of Sport or Fingering yarn).

You need it smaller or bigger? No problem! Simply use lighter or heavier yarn.

DK yarn:

• Chick: ca. 1 ½ skeins
• Hen: ca. 2 skeins
• Rooster: ca. 2 ½ skeins
• feet, combs & beaks: ca. 2 skeins in red
• some black for the eyes
