Pattern Laica Market Bag

I absolutely love designing market/tote bags as I love using them myself. Not just because it’s eco-friendly but it looks super cute too! So enjoy my newest design, I hope you’ll find it as useful as me.

The pattern itself is using some different stitches (cluster stitches, stitching in the 3rd loop of hdc, sc, hdc, dc) to create a nice, modern but textured look.

Gauge: 4 SC and 4 Rows = 1” (2.5 cm)

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

To make this bag, you need to know:

• slip stitch
• single crochet
• half double crochet
• half double crochet 3rd loop only
• front post half double crochet
• double crochet
• 2 double crochet cluster

Size: The body of the bag: 12”/30.5 cm wide
14,5”/37 cm tall
Handles: 18”/46 cm long
1,25”/3 cm wide

Materials needed:

• 5 mm (H) Hook
• Color 1: 211 yards / 194 meters (125 grams)
and
Color 2: 118 yards / 109 meters (70 grams) of worsted/aran weight 100% cotton yarn {I used Paintbox Yarns 100% Recycled Cotton Worsted in Meadow Green (Color 1) and Peachy (Color 2)}
or alternatively you can use any other aran/worsted 100% cotton yarn
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
