Crochet Nurses, Male and Female, Amigurumi, easy beginner pattern

The story behind these nurses is that I have had 7 surgeries due to complications from stomach cancer starting in October 2005 with the last surgery being November 2019. I always meant to make NURSE dolls but it finally was revealed to me that now is as important a time as ever to do so. Nurses are always on the front lines and the backbone of hospitals and a lot of time they get little or no recognition for the hard work and dedication they bring to their jobs.

Size: approx. Height 6 ½ inches/16.5 cm x Width 3 inches/7.6 cm

I used: 1 ball Sirdar Summer Linen 107 yds//98/50 g for Main Colour - brown(MC),

small quantities of #4 worsted weight yarn for everything else:
for girl blouse – verg. purple(A), girl pants – purple(B)
for boy shirt – verg. blue(A), boy pants - navy(B)
black for eyes/nose/mouth & man hair(C)
white for face mask(D)
dk brown for woman hair(E)

You can substitute any #3 DK or #4 worsted weight yarn
Crochet Hooks: 4mm/6US/8UK & 3:00mm/11US/C/2 UK

Yarn needle for closing arm and feet & regular sewing needle used to add eyes, nose and mouth
4 safety pins & stuffings or cotton balls (I used scrap yarn)
