Crochet Shorts, 2 sizes Small/Medium, easy crochet pattern

This crochet boy shorts pattern is the easiest you will ever make. It's made in a open crochet design and shown in an ombré colour with adjustable drawstring.

I designed and wrote this pattern as a comfy boy shorts that can be worn casually or on the beach over your swimsuit. I revised the pattern written in 2018 and now it can be worn even as a house shorts or you can make it in a warmer material (wool) to wear in winter over leggings with knee high boots, cute!. I also added a larger size.

This shorts is made to fit loosely around your body from the leg up and joined by folding and connecting it by front and back seam and then the crotch is sewed together after. The drawstring at the waist brings it together nicely.

Sized to fit: Small/Medium (Large/X-Large)

Waist: up to 36(40) inches / 91.4(101.6) cm with adjustable drawstring

Hip: 40(44) inches / 102(111.8) cm

Length from Waist to edge of Leg: 13 inches / 33 cm

Leg Width: 26(28) inches / 66(71.12) cm

For one colour or using a variegated yarn I used: approx. 400(500) yards / 366(457) m #4 worsted weight cotton you can substitute linen, bamboo, polyester, acrylic or wool (for Rasta or stripe shorts I use about 100 yard (125) m of each colour)

Crochet Hook: 8.00mm - 11 / L

Stitch Marker
