Shopping bag for fruits and vegetables

No more plastic bags!

With the knitted shopping bag, you no longer need plastic bags for shopping fruits and vegetables.
The bag is light, easily foldable and extremely stretchy due to the net structure, 2kg of oranges fit in without any problems. In addition it looks cute, is knitted with thick needles and is therefore quickly finished.
And if there are any stains, the shopping bag can even be washed up to 40 ° C in the machine thanks to the processed sock yarn - but please without fabric softener, otherwise it loses its shape.

The instruction (pdf file) contains in detailed written form all information you need to knit the shopping bag. It should be suitable for beginners, however basic knitting skills are required.

You should be able to:
knit in rounds
knit and purl
knit yarn overs
knit two stitches together
sew using kitchener stitch

10 stitches x 20 rounds in pattern without tension --- 7,5 cm x 5,5 cm / 2,9 in x 2,1 in

Dimension of the bag without tension: 24 cm x 41 cm / 9,5 in x 16 in (height x width)

Yarn:
approx. 60 g / 2,1 oz sock yarn 4 ply (fingering weight), 75% wool, 25% polyamide, 210 m per 50 g or 230 yards per 1,75 oz, color: pink - violet - grey colour gradient
