Guitar, Trumpet, Maracas (EN)

This pattern is an ADD ON for my crochet pattern „Wild Life XXL Cactus Miguel“.

With this PDF you get the pattern für the guitar, the trumpet and a set of maracas, each according to the sizes of Cactus Miguel. The cactus IS NOT a part of this pattern.

You can crochet the instruments in each size you want, so you can use the yarn you like. In this pattern there are given the informations for the small and the XXL cactus.

The PDF-pattern consists of 17 pages and has more than 50 colored pictures.

It is available in German (DE), English (EN) and in Dutch (NL).

Stitches (US-terminology):

slip stitch, (turning) chain, single crochet, (half) double crochet

Techniques:

Magic Ring; crochet on chains; increase/decrease of stitches; crochet in continuous (oval) rounds, closed rounds and rows; crochet in 1 loop only; Color change; fasten off; weave in ends

Level of difficulty: easy - intermediate

With the stated yarn and crochet hook the guitar is approx. 25 cm in XXL and approx. 15 cm in Small long, the trumpet in XXL approx. 23 cm and in small approx. 13 cm long and the maracas in XXL approx. 13 cm and in small approx. 8 cm long.

The size also depends on how tight or loose you crochet. If you use another yarn as stated, you have to match the size of your crochet hook accordingly to the yarn size and also the amount of yarn balls, whereby the size can also vary.

I used Gründl King Cotton yarn and a 4 mm crochet hook for the XXL variant.

Materials for XXL

• Gründl King Cotton (LL 78 m/50 g): ): 1x sand (03), 1x mocca (04), 1x white (01), 1x black (19), 1x red (06), 1x lemon (10)
• 3mm to 4 mm crochet hook

For the small version I used Schachenmayr Catania yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook.

Materials for SMALL

• Fine weight cotton yarn (LL 125 m/50 g): 1x camel, 1x dark brown, 1x gold, 1x red, a little bit of white, silver and black
• 1 thick/2 thin pipe cleaner (yellow)
• 2 mm to 2,5 mm crochet hook

Following materials are needed for both variants:

• wire (Ø 2 mm)
• Fiberfill
• Solid cardboard
• stitch marker or sth. similar
• hot glue
• sewing needle, Scissors, pins
