Crochet pattern for a birthday cake with candle

This tutorial will accompany you step by step to receive a birthday cake with topping, cream and candle. More than 20 detailed pictures will help you to understand the production process. The tutorial does not include crochet basics but requires some experience, nevertheless it is suitable for beginners. The following techniques are used: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, treble crochet, crochet in rounds, colour change (crochet terms in British English!).

If you use cotton yarn with a yardage of 280y/3.5oz (125m/50g) and a hook size 2.5, the cake will become about 10.5 cm high an get a diameter of approx. 8.5 cm.

You can use any yarn you like and a matching hook. For filling you need some cotton wool.
