I crocheted this shawl during our summer holiday 2015 – the sea with its waves and the color of the yarn has inspired me to design this pattern.
After fiddling about the beginning the rest was very simple. The shawl is started in the middle so it can be varied easily in size – you stop when you favorite size is reached or no yarn is left over.

Such a wonderful pattern

I have made this shawl twice, once in a blue/green cotton yarn like the photos, which I love wearing, and once in fine cotton thread, which I will wear at my wedding. That took a lot of work to make big enough - 25 repeats! - but it looks beautiful. This is a really easy pattern to get into, and worth every second spent on it. I recommend it frequently to people asking for a new shawl pattern!

Sommerschal Nassima

Karottenschale

Die Schalen sind sehr gut gelungen und sind sehr hübsch geworden. Die Anleitung ist gut verständlich. Ich habe größere Schale als Osternester genutzt. Die Schalen können aber auch sehr gut als Topfuntersetzer oder Topflappen verwendet werden. Meine Familie war begeistert von den süßen Osternestern.

In the instructions for this beautiful pattern it states that to make a cluster to : Yo, sting in next stitch..please explain this sting, as I have no clue what this means. Sorry if I am being thick, regards, Sheryl.
