The detailed knitting pattern is accompanied by numerous photos and is suitable for beginners who have already gained some knitting experience (see requirements). Thanks to the large knitting needles and simple stitches, you'll see progress quickly. Even with limited knitting experience, you can create your new favorite sweater vest in no time :)
The pattern includes detailed step-by-step instructions as well as precise information on the required materials and sizes.
Overview:
The vest is worked with three strands held together (one strand of merino wool and two strands of brushed alpaca), starting at the bottom and working upward in the round in stockinette stitch until the armholes. Begin with 7mm needles for the ribbing, then switch to 9mm needles.
At the armholes, the front and back are worked separately back and forth in rows, still using the circular needle. The shoulders are then seamed together, and the collar is worked with 7mm needles. Once the vest is finished, I recommend blocking it.
