Hi everyone, it's Andrea! Many of you know me from my YouTube channel, and now there's a matching written pattern to go along with this video – perfect for printing out and taking with you.
The cable looks harder than it is. The pattern consists of just 6 simple rows that repeat over and over, and you only cable on one row. The headband is knitted flat in rows and sewn together at the end, so you get a beautiful interlaced detail at the center front.
This is a written pattern that also includes a knitting chart and a free video tutorial, so you can follow every step exactly. I wish you lots of joy knitting, wearing or gifting it! Thanks to the video tutorial, also suitable for beginners.
Please note: This pattern uses US knitting terms.
Do you already have some basic knitting skills? Then you can start right away with this pattern. The accompanying video tutorial lets you follow along with every step, even if you don't have much experience yet.
Stitches used: knit stitches, purl stitches, cables (2/2 LC, crossing 4 stitches to the left)
Women's S/M (54–55 cm / 21¼–21⅝ in), L/XL (56–57 cm / 22–22½ in)
Materials Yarn: Gründl Shetland, 1 skein of 100 g (3.5 oz), approx. 50 g (1.8 oz) needed
Knitting needles 6 mm (US 10) (I knit very loosely, so if you knit at a normal tension you will probably need 7 mm, US 10¾)
A circular needle or 2 double-pointed needles, plus a cable needle or a spare needle
Gauge: 26.7 stitches × 21.6 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in) in
You can download the pattern immediately after receipt of payment.
