This bat is crocheted with soft chenille yarn, but you can easily use any other yarn
you like. The head is attached to the body with safety joints, allowing it to be turned
in different directions. If you prefer, you can also sew the head directly onto the body
instead. Both options are explained in the pattern.
The legs and hands are crocheted directly onto the body, minimizing sewing and
assembly. The finished bat measures approximately 20 cm (8 in) tall. The final size
may vary depending on the yarn and hook size used.
The pattern does not contain basic course of crocheting – you should already have the basic knowledge.
The pattern includes 19 pages.
Difficulty: middle
Not for beginners.
The finished bat measures approximately 20 cm (8 in) tall.
Yarn for the Bat
Grey 026 Ricorumi Nilli Nilli (25 g / 65 m) – approx. 70 g
White Fluffy teddy yarn – a strip approximately 20 cm long
White cotton yarn – approx. 5 g (for the teeth)
I used about 70 g of yarn for my bat. If you crochet loosely or use a larger hook, you may need a little more yarn.
Yarn for the Ghost
Natural 021 Ricorumi Nilli Nilli (25 g / 65 m) – approx. 15 g Yarn for the Pumpkin
Green 019 Ricorumi Nilli Nilli (25 g / 65 m) – approx. 10 g
Orange Lana Grossa The Look Fine (50 g / 100 m) – approx. 40 g
2.75 mm crochet hook
12 mm safety eyes
Joint set with wooden discs (suitable sizes; I used 25
mm for the body and 30 mm for the head)
Polyester fiberfill, sewing needle, black fabric marker, glitter acrylic paint, all-purpose glue, silver glitter yarn
