Atis dresses up as a shark… ready to give you a fright while remaining irresistibly sweet!
Crochet a hooded cape featuring a shark mouth edged with little white teeth, eyes, and fins. Whether you choose blue or gray, this costume brings a new adventure to Atis’s world.
This PDF pattern guides you through making the costume and its crocheted fastening.
IMPORTANT: This listing includes the crochet pattern for the shark costume only. The pattern for “Atis the Messenger,” the crochet plush toy, is sold separately in the Woolki shop.
This is a downloadable digital crochet pattern, not a finished item.
Skill level: Intermediate.
You should know how to work:
– a magic ring;
– chains;
– slip stitches;
– single crochet;
– half double crochet;
– increases and decreases.
The project combines working in rows and rounds. It also requires assembling and sewing small pieces, plus simple embroidery if you choose embroidered eyes.
The pattern explains how to make the hooded cape, the edging and teeth, the eyes, the fins, and the crocheted fastening.
US crochet terms are used throughout.
This costume is designed for Woolki’s “Atis the Messenger” crochet plush toy, which measures approximately 9.5–10.25 in (24–26 cm) tall when seated.
The finished size of the costume may vary depending on your yarn and crochet tension.
If you wish to use it for another plush toy, check its proportions first: a suitable fit cannot be guaranteed.
– Blue or gray yarn recommended for a 3.5–4 mm crochet hook.
– White yarn for the mouth edging and teeth.
– Black yarn for embroidered eyes and, optionally, a little white yarn for the highlights.
– A 3 mm crochet hook, recommended for a firm fabric.
– Two 8 mm safety eyes, or embroidered eyes.
– A small amount of stuffing.
– A yarn needle.
– Stitch markers.
– Scissors.
The fastening is crocheted: no button or clip is needed.
An original Woolki design.
