The LAST LIGHT Sweater is a cosy oversized sweater with a clean silhouette and a well-defined shoulder line. It is worked seamlessly from the top down. The construction begins with the back and shoulders, worked flat in rows, before the body is joined and worked in rounds. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves and neckband.
Thoughtful details give the design its distinctive character. The sleeve cuffs and neckband begin with a section of double knitting before being finished with a twisted rib, in which all knit stitches are worked through the back loop. The same twisted rib is used for the hem, creating a cohesive finish throughout the garment.
Worked in a lightweight blown yarn, the sweater is soft, airy and comfortably warm while maintaining a beautifully voluminous look. For those who prefer knitting with merino wool, the pattern also includes a suitable yarn alternative.
