Skills Required / What You'll Receive
Although it looks complicated, patchwork knitting is usually quite simple. The cardigan is worked using knit and purl stitches and simple decreases. The pattern includes plenty of photos and detailed patch-by-patch instructions. Some patchwork knitting experience is helpful, but not required.
Anyone who has already knitted one of my Karl designs will have no trouble with this pattern. Anyone with knitting experience should be able to manage it easily. If you're still a beginner, I recommend simply following the instructions word for word without overthinking them—then it should work out just fine.

Knit stitches together
Weave in ends
Crochet single crochet stitches for the finishing edge

Knitted with my favourite glitter yarn
Universe by Hobbii, colour 06, yardage 462 m/100 g
and
a 3-ply gradient cake in sunny yellow
Size 38/40: 200 g Universe and 1100 m of 3-ply gradient yarn
Size 42/44: 200 g Universe and 1200 m of 3-ply gradient yarn
Size 46/48: 300 g Universe and 1300 m of 3-ply gradient yarn
Width: size 38/40 approx. 46 cm, size 42/44 approx. 52 cm, size 46/48 approx. 59 cm
Length: size 38/40 approx. 52 cm, size 42/44 approx. 57 cm, size 46/48 approx. 62 cm
You will need:
Yarn in the quantity stated on the previous page, or another yarn with the same yardage
3 mm circular knitting needle with a 60 cm cable; DPNs or a second circular needle for finishing the front of the sleeve cuffs
3 opening stitch markers (SM), or safety pins
5 small buttons, 12 mm in diameter
2.5 or 3 mm crochet hook for the finishing edge
