Digital Crochet Pattern PDF – Eloise Tee (Sizes XS–5XL)
This listing is a PDF CROCHET PATTERN for the Eloise Tee, NOT a finished item. It is written in U.S. standard crochet terms.
The name “Kira” means sun in ancient Persian, which is exactly the right name for this summery top! Kira is an easy and super quick to make summer top with an underbust tie at the front. It is made almost entirely of half double crochet and double crochet stitches, embellished with mesh elements under the bust and around the cups, giving the top a unique yet simple elegance. It is beginner-friendly and can be adjusted to fit your body perfectly!
Advanced Beginner - You should know how to read a crochet pattern and be comfortable with the basic stitches, know how to count stitches, know how to count rows, and know how to use the mattress stitch for seaming. All other stitches and techniques are explained in the pattern.
STITCHES YOU SHOULD KNOW:
single crochet, slip stitches, half double crochet, double crochet
This is a made-to-measure pattern. This means that there are no sizes given in the pattern and the top will be crocheted to your individual measurements.
Yarn:: I used myboshi No. 2 85% cotton, 15% kapok; 50g (1.8 oz), 100m (109yds) in white, but any DK/light or fine/sport yarn in natural fibres or natural fibre blends will work. I recommend natural fibres, especially for draping and keeping cool in summer.
Hook: 4.0 mm or sizes needed to obtain gauge
Other: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, tape measure, scissors
ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF YARN NEEDED:
2 (3, 3, 4, 4) (5, 5, 6, 6) skeins of myboshi No. 2 for sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). This is just a guide - the amount will vary slightly as we are working to your exact measurements and the actual amount will depend on your desired coverage.
GAUGE:
With a 4 mm hook worked in dc:
10 x 10 cm = 16 sts x 9 rows.
A note about yarn and gauge: As the pattern is written in a tutorial style and the top is crocheted to your personal measurements, you can use a different yarn gauge. The gauge is just for orientation.
