Bill Babirusa is a crochet pattern a deer pig, a very rare wild pig species only found in Indonesia.
The pattern is available in two versions: one for left- and one for right-handers, each with about 50 pages and lots of photos and for both there is also a printerfriendly version with no photos and 26 pages.
This pattern is expert level, not suitbale for beginners, but a perfect challenge for experienced crocheters.
Bill Babirusa ist almost entirely worked in single crochet with increases and descreases and short rows. Legs and tail are crocheted to the body. For head, ears and eyelids it needs some sewing. Inside the body there is a wired sceletton.
All these techniques are explained with text and pictures.
Bill is 18 cm/6" high and 32 cm/13" long (from nose to butt).
Size may vary depending on yarn used.

Ash Brown (08) 170 g / 554 m / 592 yds
Anthracite (122) 10 g /32 m/35 yds
Oatmilk (03) 5g /16 m/18 yds
Antique Rose (53) 2 g /7m/ 7yds
Crochet hook: 2,0 mm /size B (US)
9 chenille wires, 50 cm/20“long
Filling material
Safety eyes Ø 10 mm
Stitch markers: 8 red, 8 blue, 4 yellow, 2 green, 12 in any color
Tapestry needle, scissors
Tongs and tweezers
Sewing yarn in contrasting color for thread markers
Small bag or box for storing small parts.
