Platypus "Bert" is a beginner-friendly PDF crochet pattern for an adorable platypus amigurumi. Made with chenille yarn it has the perfect size to be cuddled and loved.
The pattern consists of 17 clearly structured pages with every step explained in detail. It has lots of pictures, tips and little side notes, to make sure working on this amigurumi is a positive and frustration-free experience. Like all my patterns it was tested by multiple test crocheters.
Skill level:
Beginners. Note: To successfully finish this pattern, you already have to have basic crochet skills and be familiar with reading written crochet patterns. Even though I include quick refreshers on certain techniques and explain less common crochet techniques step by step, this pattern is not intended to teach you how to crochet or read a crochet pattern.

Using the hook and yarn listed in the materials list, the finished platypus measures approximately 50 cm x 25 cm/20” x 10”. The pattern does not include instructions on how to modify the pattern. If you do wish to make any modifications such as using different size hooks, different yarn or adjusting the size, it is your responsiblity and the results may vary.
Medium weight chenille yarn (approx. 100g/120-170m, 3.5 oz./130-185 yds.) in
