CANDY BOX CHICKEN

These funny Chickens can be filled with candy or other small surprises.
Use them filled with candy on Easter, filled with all kinds of small trinkets on birthdays, or simply as decoration.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for (practiced) beginners as well.
This pattern contains 13 pages of crochet instructions and 14 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.

Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, increases and (invisible) decreases, crocheting in front loops and back loops, changing yarn-color.
The figures are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals as well as back and forth in rows.

FORMAT

  • pattern in PDF format (with watermarks)
  • to open and read the file you need a specific program, e.g. Adobe‘s free Acrobat-Reader (www. adobe .com)

Size Information

With 3.0 mm hook and DK yarn or 2 strands of sport weight yarn the Chicken Boxes get to be 14.5 x 8.5 cm tall (without comb & wings).

You need it smaller or bigger? No problem! Simply use lighter or heavier yarn.
The size of the safety-eyes needs to be adjusted accordingly then though.

Materials List

  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • tapestry needle
  • stitch-markers
  • scissors
  • 12 mm safety-eyes
  • matches/lighter to melt and flatten the safety-eyes’ pins
  • optional: decorative items (e.g. buttons)

amount of DK yarn

  • 63 g for body (outside) & wings
  • 42 g for the body (inside)
  • 2 g yellow for the beak
  • 10 g red for comb, wattles & feet

Sehr süß und knuffig
Die Anleitung ist einfach super! Es kann eigentlich nichts schief gehen. Durch das anhäkeln der einzelnen Teile sitzt alles genau da wo es hingehört und das Ergebnis ist super süß und knuffig. Vielen lieben Dank für diese tolle Anleitung 😊

Anleitung
Es ist eine ausführliche Anleitung, die auch gut bebildert ist. Klasse finde ich, dass man die erledigten Reihen abhaken konnte und sehr hilfreich ist auch , dass am Ende jeden Schrittes geschrieben steht, wieviel Maschen nach Zu-,bzw. Abnahmen noch in Arbeit sein sollten. Beim Download gab es anfangs schwieigkeiten, die sich durch die schnelle Unterstützung der Designerin beseitigen ließen. 😊

So süß!
Eine wirklich tolle und detaillierte Anleitung! Der Hase ist unfassbar niedlich geworden. Einen Stern Abzug, da die Machen und Abstände zum anbringen der Arme und Beine nicht stimmen können. Aber man kann gut erkennen wo sie eigentlich hingehören.

Soo niedliche Schneebälle ❤️
Die Anleitung ist einwandfrei. Einfach zu befolgen und alles sehr detailliert beschrieben und bebildert. Lediglich bei den fM und KM der Mütze musste ich ungewohnt seeehr locker häkeln. Die Schneebälle werden zuckersüß 😍 Mit Catania und Nadel 2,5 werden die Kugeln an sich 5cm im Durchmesser bei mir.

Fehlerhafte Anleitung
Also diese Anleitung ist schön im Endergebnis, wenn man von den Fehlern im Bart absieht. Wenn man das nämlich zusammenrechnet kommt man nicht auf 96 Maschen. Deshalb werde ich hier trotz des tollen Endergebnisses auch Punkte abziehen.
