An alpaca wool balaclava is great because the wool is extremely warm, soft, and temperature-regulating, yet remains hypoallergenic, odor-resistant, and water-repellent. The hollow fibers provide excellent insulation without causing the hat to overheat, and the small amount of lanolin makes it skin-friendly.
