This beginner-friendly PDF crochet pattern is for a little beaver called Marvin. Marvin is easy, works up fast and details like the colorful lollipop and big, round eyes make him a cute little amigurumi.
The pattern consists of 16 clearly stuctured pages where every step is explained in detail with many pictures, tips and helpful side notes. It's frustration-free and, like all my patterns, was tested by multiple experienced test crocheters.
Skill level: Beginner with basic knowledge (for details see "Required techniques")
Required techniques (US terms):
-Magic ring
-Working in continuous rounds
-Slip stitch
-Single crochet
-(Invisible) increases/decreases
-French Knot (link for video tutorial included)
-Assembly
Using the same yarn and hook size, the finished beaver is approximately 15.5 cm x 11 cm x 10 cm/6” x 4.5” x 4” (length x height x width).
Materials:
Cotton yarn Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/6, 50g/105 m (1.75 oz./115 yds.) in
-No. 20, Americano (~ 42 yds.)
-No. 10, Cappuccino (~ 97 yds.)
-No. 05, Beige (~ 8.5 yds.)
-No. 100, Pastel Green (~ 2 yds.)
-No. 01, White (~ 9 yds.)
-No. 45, Candyfloss (~ 2.2 yds.)
Lace cotton yarn (50g/280 m, 1.7 oz./306 yds.) in
-Black (~ 6”)
-White (~ 3 yds.)
Hook 2.5 mm and 1.75 mm
Tapestry needle
Safety eyes 5 mm (3/16”)
Stitch markers
