Overlay Mosaic Crochet Chart Pattern
Written using US crochet terms - Fully Written Row by Row.
This fun blanket design is perfect for wrapping up in during a chilly morning with a cup of tea or coffee and your favorite crochet hook. It would make the perfect gift for that person in your life who loves cozy warm.
The pattern comes with:
1 design chart divided into 8 pages making it easy to see and follow. It is a grid chart using overlay mosaic crochet X squares.
A photo tutorial on the Negative/Reverse Stitch - if you want the same design on the back as the front.
Instructions on how to add an extra color.
Border suggestions.
Simple chart instructions.
Fully Written Row by Row.
This pattern uses the Overlay Mosaic Crochet Technique, If you are not sure how that is done, my suggestion is to watch a couple of video on you tube, it will help you see how simple the stitches are. Visual is usually the best way i learn. It is a series of double crochet and single crochet, the single crochet in my patterns are done two different ways, one is through the back loop, and the other is through both loops. I would say this is an intermediate pattern and chart.
Size: 39” wide by 49” length
Chart Size: There are 152 columns, and 177 rows for the full pattern
Supplies Needed:
Size G (4.mm) Crochet Hook
Yarn Worsted Weight (Size 4)
Color A: approximately 1600 yds
Color B: approximately 900 yds
Border: One of the colors used in the blanket.
If you are planning on using the negative stitch to make the same design on the back of the blanket you will need approximately a third or more of the two yarn colors.
You are welcome to sell any finished throw you make using this pattern.
