Handyman Special Blanket Crochet Pattern

One can never have too many tools, so a blanket adorned with them makes the ideal birthday or Father's Day gift. This handmade crocheted creation is perfect for the handyman husband and dad who always has the right tool at hand, and let's not forget the handy women as well!

This Pattern uses the Overlay Mosaic Crochet technique, it is basically single and double crochet stitches. If you are not familiar with this stitch technique, please watch some online videos, it is surprisingly simple. Anyone who knows how to do the overlay mosaic crochet should have no problems at all with this pattern.
The pattern comes with:

• 1 design chart - grid chart using overlay mosaic crochet X squares.
• A Photo tutorial on the Negative/Reverse Stitch - if you want the same design on the back as the front.
• Instructions on how to add an extra color.
• An Excel sheet Design Chart if preferred
• Border suggestions.

• Row by Row written in right-hand and left-hand instructions

Chart Size: 234 columns, and 249 rows

Supplies Needed:

• Size G Crochet Hook
• Worsted Weight Yarn Size 3 medium (You can use size 4 medium with H hook, but be aware that it will make a very heavy blanket, and a few inches larger than size 3 medium yarn.)
• Color A: Background color - Light Grey (6 skeins) or your favorite color - Or… your favorite colors.
• Color B: Design color -Dark Gray, (3 skeins) Navy Blue(3 Skeins), Royal Blue (3 skein), Burgundy (3 Skein), Gold (4 Skein) Or… your favorite colors.
• Border Yarn: Blue or any of the colors used on the blanket.

Chart Tip: The blanket colors are just suggestions. You can make the whole blanket in just two colors if you want or If you you can do each of the sections in your own 2 color choices. I have marked on the chart, Color A for the background colors, and Color B for the design rows. You can make them any two color you would like, for each section, although It is best if you stick to the 2 colors (per section) you’ve chosen to finish that section.
