Handbag knitting pattern "Goldfish Swimming to Australia"

The goldfish have escaped. Where are they? Look! They are swimming to Australia! (And one to Honolulu).

This little purse is worked in rounds from the bottom to the top. It has two crochet handles and a snap for closure. Most of the pattern is written; the stranded part is charted only.
The crochet parts are written using American crochet terms.

Difficulty level: intermediate (knitting in the round on circular needles, stranded colorwork, basic crochet stitches, working from charts, basic sewing skills)

Yarn: Steinbach Capri (100% cotton, 125m/50g; 137yds/1.76oz); 1 ball of main color (blue), 1 ball of contrast color (yellow). Sample used 125m (137yds) of blue and 93m (101yds) of yellow.

Needles: 3mm/US 2 1/2 circular needles. You also need a hook in the same size.

Notions: yarn needle, 3 stitch markers, 1 snap

Gauge: 27 stitches/37 rows in stockinette stitch = 10cm/4in.

Size: 50cm (20in) in circumference, 20cm (8in) in height. The handles are 35cm (14in) long and 3cm (1 1/4in) wide.

Additional materials: Depending on what you want to use your bag for, you may wish to line it. In that case you will need fabric in a matching color. However, there are no instructions for sewing in the pattern.
