Knitting pattern: Doggy towel/cat towel “paw print” with individual name

As much as we love our pets, it is a fact of life that they sometimes have wet or dirty paws. How nice it is to have a cloth to wipe them with.

This towel is the perfect gift for dog or cat lovers because it can be personalized. The design of the blanket is a paw print. Above it is the name of the little darling. This can be personalized (up to 10 letters) using the instructions and stencil set. All it takes is a little crafting. How it works is described in the instructions.

With this download you get a detailed 12-page PDF file. In addition to the graphic illustration, it contains a knitting pattern for the basic motif (example: Row 1: k1, p5, Row 2: k3, p3 ...). The knitting script of the name can be composed according to your wishes with the help of the template set. The maximum length of the name is 10 characters. Some special characters (heart, plus, minus, exclamation mark) are also possible. The files are for personal use only!

Basic knowledge of knitting (cast on stitches, knit stitches, purl stitches, cast off stitches) is required.

Level of difficulty: easy (for beginners)

This towel is also suitable for beginners as it only consists of knit and purl stitches. Each row is described individually in the pattern (example: Row 1: k1, p5, Row 2: k3, p3 ...).

If you want to, you can crochet around the paw scarf at the end for a clean edge. You should have this knowledge as well. The pattern itself only contains the description for the knitted piece.

The finished towel have a size of approx. 33 cm x 25 cm.

The towel shown was knitted with Schachenmayr Catania (100% cotton, run length 125 m per 50 g). I used 1 ball of this wool. But you can also use any other yarn. The amount may vary depending on the length and weight.

You will also need knitting needles that match the thickness of the wool. If you want a crocheted border, you will also need a crochet hook.
