The pretty daisies in my garden inspired me to make these cute coasters. Of course you can crochet them in any color you like and use all kinds of yarn scraps. They are very easy to make and the pattern for the petals is really fun. As the inner part is made with single crochets only, your glass/cup will be stable and won't wobble.
The pattern (6 pages) is quite simple. If you know the basics about crocheting, you should not have any problems.
magic ring, chains, single crochets, slip stitch, double crochets, crocheting in closed rounds, increase, color changing
The coaster has a diameter of about 15 cm.
You need (apiece):
Cotton yarn in the following colours
Yellow (sonne 208) - about 5 g
White (weiß 106) - about 10 g
( ) = Schachenmayr Catania
100 % Cotton – 50 g = 125 m / 1.75 oz = 137 yds
crochet hook: 2.5 mm
needle for sewing, scissors
