Crochet Pattern Triangular Scarf "Be a Unicorn"

"Always be yourself. Unless you can be a Unicorn. Then always be a Unicorn."

With this pattern you can crochet your own Unicorn shawl. The comfortable size is suitable for almost every season. You can cuddle up in it on cool evenings as well as wear it as a scarf around the neck.

The added chart ca also be used for different projects, for example a blanket with a Unicorn motif. Creativity has no limits!

You should know the following stitches:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
tch – turning chain
inc – increase
st – stitch
dc – double crochet
tc – treble crochet
sl st – slip stitch

The intarsia technique works with colour changes. This project is a little bit complex because of its dimensions. I recommend to practise the technique with a smaller project first. But the pattern explains everything you need to know about the technique.

• Video with explanations concerning the pattern (German language, but the colour changes should be understandable without words)

I used hand-dyed fingering weight yarn (LL 400m/100g). With this material my shawl is 200 cm wide and 80 cm high.
Please note that using a yarn with a different yardage can lead to a different size of the shawl!

Yarn in three colours with same yardage and material:
Main Colour: 800 m (bright colour in the example)
Contrast Colour: 600 m (blue in the example)
„Unicorn“ Colour: 80 m (colorful Unicorn-horn in the example)
Crochet hook depending on the yarn (I used NS 4,5)
Woolneedle to sew in the ends
