What could be better than crocheting a special gift for the birth? Moses baskets are just totally trendy and an enchanting gift, which you can individually crochet yourself with a lot of love and in your favorite colors. So the baby has a separate sleeping place and feels safe, but is still always close to mom. The basket can also be transported to another room and so the baby is always in sight even when doing daily tasks. If the baby grows up and can already sit, it is a se-parate play area, perfect for example for a small ball bath and other toys that are always at hand. Later, it becomes a spacious toy basket in the nursery and the perfect storage for toys, stuffed animals and dolls. It is therefore very sustainable, long lasting and the perfect gift idea or project for the expectant mom.
The Moses basket is crocheted with the sturdy Bobbiny Jumbo. This is particularly robust, di-mensionally stable and complies with Ökotex Standard 100 and is suitable for allergy sufferers and babies and thereby the yarn is even made from recycled material.
As a basis for the basket is a wooden floor with extra large holes suitable for the yarn. The bot-tom is made of natural and multi-glued plywood.
The matching mattress from the brand Julius Zöllner makes this set perfect. The medium-firm foam is perfectly matched to the base and is custom made. The mattress is designed for baby's needs and the cover can be removed and washed.

I have divided the tutorial into 3 parts. So you can take each day a work section and have not such a big exhausting project. Of course, you can also finish quickly or work completely at y-our pace, just as you manage it. For both sizes I have put together a practical complete set for you, in which everything you need to crochet is included, you only have to choose the colour and you're ready to go.
