• 75 cm (0.8 yd) of 138cm (1.5 yd) wide jersey fabric
• thread in a matching colour
• if you would like to hang the top: 36 cm/14 in of cotton ribbon

• paper scissors
• fabric scissors
• a ruler or tape measure
• an ironing board, and an iron
