Basket, Utensilo "Spirelli" - Crochet Pattern

These cute little baskets are perfect for storing all kinds of small items. They are very sturdy so that they keep their shape when they are full. Also wonderful as gift packaging for small items or vouchers and for small Easter surprises.

The two sizes are created by using different yarn thicknesses.
In the last two pictures you will find a beautiful decorative addition for the Easter season.

Stitches used: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, half double crochet, magic ring, special stitch

Motif size with thin yarn: diameter 5 cm / height 4 cm (without handle)
Motif size with thick yarn: diameter 8 cm / height 6 cm (without handle)

Material for small basket
• Yarn: Schachenmayr Catania (125 m {136 yds} / 50 g {1 ¾ oz}),
Yarn Weight: Sport - 5ply | Fine (2), your choice, approx. 20 grams per “basket”
(Colour for inner and outer basket 8 grams each, colour for handle and spiral some leftover yarn)
• Crochet hook 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm, sewing needle, stitch marker

Material for large basket
• Yarn: Schachenmayr Catania Grande (63 m {69 yds} / 50 g {1 ¾ oz}),
Yarn Weight: Heavy Worsted, your choice, approx. 65 grams per “basket”
(Colour for inner and outer basket 28 grams each, colour for handle and spiral some leftover yarn)
• Crochet hook 4.0 mm and 4.5 mm, sewing needle, stitch marker
