A cute and cosy children’s hat with adorable ears.
There are two options for the brim, the pattern and the ears, which means that you can mix and match and make a few different beanies from just one pattern.
The perfect opportunity to knit hats for several heads and/or play around with all the possibilities.
The pattern is beginner friendly. The instructions are very detailed and include photo tutorials for the three needle bind off and to show you how the ears are shaped.
The yarn is held double, which creates a cosy and warm beanie.
Have fun knitting!

I am confused by the decrease. The numbers do not add up to indicated stitches, if you do size 1 the decrease in one round is 4 decrease stitches making it 56 not 54. And subsequent rounds do not match stitch numbers then either. Unless I am reading the pattern wrong. Thank you for any help.

Dear Sandy, thank you so much for this comment. The pattern has been knitted so many times and no one found this mistake (or reported it to me). I checked it again and you are right! 4 decreased sts are 56sts! Thanks again. :)
