You can use also another kind of wool with an appropriate crochet hook.

1 mm handikrafts wire (approx. 1,3 m for 1 umbrella)
as cheapest alternative:
0,7 mm handikraft wire

6 small pearls: size 3-4 mm,
1large pearls: size 5-7 mm,
glue, nipper, scissors, needle, sewing thread.
