***⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “It was easy to sew and so much fun. Now I have a handmade Advent calendar that I can use for years to come.” – Lisa, Germany
Create a personal countdown to Christmas with this advent calendar sewing pattern. The finished calendar measures 70 × 110 cm (approximately 27 1/2 × 43 1/4 “) and can be hung on a door or wall. Its different-sized pockets have room for sweets, small gifts, handwritten messages and vouchers.
Even with limited sewing experience, you can sew your own advent calendar. The simple main design is a manageable project for beginners, while the pockets and appliqué details are a lovely way to use fabric scraps. Combine colours and prints to create a festive patchwork look or choose soft, neutral shades to suit your home.
Number templates, letters for spelling out names and appliqué templates are included, so you can personalise your fabric advent calendar for someone special. Whether you’re sewing for children, your partner, your sister or friends, you’ll create a thoughtful gift that can be filled with new surprises year after year.
Display your advent calendar wall hanging using a rod resting on hooks or suspended from a cord. Choose fixings suitable for your wall or door and the weight of the filled calendar.
Turn your favourite fabrics into a handmade advent calendar and start a Christmas tradition to enjoy for years to come.
