Knitting pattern for fingerless mittens with a beautiful colorwork.
Lindelbrunn is a small village in the south west Palatine region, more precisely in the district of Südliche Weinstraße (Southern Wine Route). One of the countless 13th-century castles near the village also bears this name.
You can knit wrist warmers in various ways: double-pointed needles, Crazy Trio, very short circular needles, Magic Loop, etc. This pattern was written for use the Magic Loop technique: The two cable sections of the Magic Loop are referred to as needles 1 and 2 in the pattern.
The wrist warmers are knitted from the cuff to the fingertips.
To avoid unsightly transitions, the wrist warmers were knitted inside out. This takes some getting used to at first, and the cast-on edge keeps folding back into its original shape, but after a few centimeters of knitting, you’ll have mastered it.
Alternatively, the transition between the needles can be offset by a few stitches in each round.
The wrist warmers shown were knitted in size 7.
