An cozy baby cardigan made from bulky yarn. Worked in chunky knit, it is quick to finish and, thanks to the simple garter stitch pattern an easy knit for beginners. The cardigan is knitted in one piece, bottom up with no shoulder seams. The sleeves are created by picking up additional stitches - long enough to be folded over or to grow with your baby. Finally, the sides are seamed and the baby jacket is finished with buttons – completely without buttonholes. Due to the bulky stitch structure, buttons up to 20 mm in diameter can easily be pushed through the fabric. If preferred, you can add ties instead of buttons.

Cast on, picking up stitches, knit stitches, decreases (knitting stitches together), increases, placing stitches on hold, and binding off.
