Lars the Llama is a detailed crochet project for anyone who loves African Flower motifs, crochet animals and unique amigurumi-style designs.
The llama is made from 36 individual African Flower motifs, which are joined step by step to create the finished figure. The pattern includes detailed explanations and many pictures to help you understand the placement and joining of the motifs.
The English pattern is written in US crochet terms.
What is included?

This pattern is not designed for complete beginners. Experience with African Flowers is helpful, but the motifs are explained in a separate help pattern.
You should be familiar with:
• chain stitches
• slip stitches
• single crochet
• double crochet
• increases
• working in rounds
Using the suggested yarn, the finished llama will be approximately 40 cm / 15.7 in tall.
You will need:
• cotton yarn approx. 115–125 m / 50 g, e.g. Schachenmayr Catania or similar
• approx. 70 g green
• approx. 50 g yellow
• approx. 40 g orange
• 3.0 mm crochet hook
• 2 safety eyes, approx. 6–10 mm
• stuffing
• foam for reinforcing the neck
• scissors
• stitch markers
