With this pattern, you can crochet distinctive dreamcatcher-style wall decorations in two sizes (15 cm and 20 cm ring diameters) that are reminiscent of a Mexican icon and artist.

The hair color you choose—and how many flowers and leaves you applique on the head - is entirely up to your preferences and imagination.

Also suitable for confident beginners, with step-by-step instructions and many detailed photos. The pattern guides you through every stage—from crocheting the face and appliqués, to embroidering the facial features (this requires patience and may take several attempts), to mounting everything in the metal ring and making and attaching the tassels. Basic crochet skills are required (crocheting in the round, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increases).

A finished dreamcatcher has a diameter of 15 or 20 cm. Length varies depending on the pendants/decoration.

Required materials:

• Crochet hook size 2.5 mm for the small dreamcatcher
• Crochet hook size 3 mm for the large dreamcatcher
• Metal ring 15 cm for the small dreamcatcher
• Metal ring 20 cm for the large dreamcatcher
• Mercerized, combed cotton yarn/yarn scraps in various colors,
  such as CATANIA by Schachenmayr, Catona by Scheepjes, Cotton Quick by Gründl — all equivalent; you will need Beige/Apricot/Natural (base/face), Red/Pink (lips), and Black/Dark Brown (hair, eyes, brows), Green for leaves, and any other colors you like for flowers and earrings
• Tapestry needle
• Hot glue gun
• Optional: stitch markers (a contrasting strand of yarn works too)
• Optional: beads/pearl caps to decorate the tassels
