Have you ever wondered how a blouse is sewn professionally?
These days, it’s hard to find women’s blouses with high-quality construction – most are made cheaply to cut costs. We can buy inexpensive clothing anywhere, but what we truly want is top quality. That’s exactly what I’ll show you: how to make a blouse that will last and look like it came straight from a tailor’s studio.
With this pattern, you’ll learn step-by-step how to sew a blouse with professional techniques – featuring premium details, clever sewing tricks, and a flawless finish.
With my illustrated sewing instructions, helpful linked sewing videos, and my tips, you’ll sew a blouse you’ll be truly proud to wear.
Design Highlights:
The Kaia Blouse features a classic, relaxed fit that blends timeless elegance with everyday comfort. It has a traditional collar and cuffs with a professionally sewn sleeve placket, plus side slits that provide extra ease of movement and versatile styling options.
You can make the blouse in one solid fabric or add an accent fabric for extra flair. This contrast fabric can be beautifully used on the undercollar, inner cuffs, and button placket to give your blouse a unique touch.
Use the Mix & Match idea to create a polished, coordinated look – for example, by sewing matching pants like the Rita Pants from the same accent fabric. The result is a cohesive outfit full of thoughtful details.
