Hello dear crochet friend,
this pattern provides you with step-by-step instructions on how to crochet the cuddly monster Kiko by yourself.

The PDF file contains:

  • 13-page illustrated PDF crochet pattern for ‘Kiko - the cuddly monster’ (Kiko das Kuschelmonster) in German/English
  • Material information and abbreviations

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Difficulty level: easy (medium for beginners)

You should be familiar with the following steps:

  • magic ring
  • chain
  • slip stitch
  • single crochet
  • increase
  • decrease
  • half double crochet
  • Flat popcorn stitch (is explained in writing in the instructions)
  • back/front loop

Size Information

Note: I crochet quite tightly (in continuous rounds), so Kiko will be about 29 cm / 0.95 feet tall (standing) with the specified materials. Depending on how loosely or tightly you crochet, Kiko will be taller or shorter. If you crochet loosely, you will need more material.

  • Cotton yarn in the colours: black und light green (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania, Scheepjes Catona). Yardage: 125m/50g, 137yd/1,75oz. You can find out which yarns I used in the instructions (colour codes are given).
  • crochet hook: 4,0 mm / US G,6 / UK 8
