To create such basket you shall know how to make:

magic ring
chains
slip stitch
single crochet
increase
decrease

Finished Size (using 4 mm cord): Basket diameter at the widest point — approximately 4.75 - 5 inches (12-13 cm), basket height with lid — approximately 6 - 6.3 inches (15-16 cm).

Finished Size (using 5 mm cord or t-shirt yarn): Basket diameter at the widest point — approximately 7 inches (18 cm), basket height with lid — approximately 9 inches (23 cm).

MATERIALS and TOOLS you will need to basket:

• Any 4 mm cord, or 5 mm cord (cotton, polypropylene, polyester), or t-shirt yarn, approximately 110 yards (100 m). In my example, I used 4 mm cotton cord Star with glitter;
• 5 mm hook for 4 mm cord;
• 6 mm hook for 5 mm cord and t-shirt yarn;
• An extra crochet hook one size smaller;
• Scissors.
