I've made Beryl the Bunny using a super chunky #6 weight plush yarn. This is ideal for a big soft and huggable toy and is a pretty quick make. You can buy a pom pom for the tail or make your own using a non-plush yarn - instructions included. She sits just under 10 inches tall (when made with the recommended materials).

The 12 page pattern is intermediate skill level and is available in US terminology. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change, back loop only and making your own pom pom for the tail.

• Safety eyes: I have used 15mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
