Charles the Chick Crochet Amigurumi Pattern (English)

Charles the chick has been busy trying on different eggs, ready for Easter. I’ve made Charles using DK weight yarn, but he looks good in Aran too (with slightly larger safety eyes and a 4mm hook) - it’s a great project for stash busting and is a pretty quick make. He sits just under 6 inches tall (when made with the recommended materials).

The 10 page pattern is intermediate skill level and is available in US terminology. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change and invisible finish.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern:
US Terminology - magic ring or chain 2 to start, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), invisible finish, (optional colour change for egg)

• Hook: 3.5mm (E) crochet hook
• Stuffing: I use polyester filling
• Safety eyes: I have used 9mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
