The Basic Cardigan has a positive ease of about 2.5 cm (1“) around the bust and 3.5 cm (1 2/5“) around the hip. For reference, our model Sabina is 173cm (5‘ 8“) tall and wears size XXXL.

Required materials

• knit fabric, for 1.50m (1 2/3 yd) fabric width: XS-XXXL: 1.40m
• interfacing, e.g., Vlieseline H200, XS-XXXL: 0.75m (5/6 yd)
• 7 buttons
• sewing thread
• sewing machine with jersey sewing needle matching your fabric thickness
  Tip: We use a knit fabric made from 100% cotton with a weight of 300g/m2 for the Basic Cardigan sewing pattern. The sewing pattern is drafted for a fabric with stretch.
