~12 cm/5 inch (in sitting position), I used a yarn of ~174 yards/160 m = 1,76 oz/50 g and a 2,5 mm hook.

for two color dog:
I used – YarnArt JEANS 55%Cotton 45%Pac (50g=160m) dark grey #28, white #01, sand #07, grey #46; YarnArt JEANS Tropical 55%Cotton 45%Pac (50g=160m) #610; and some colors for the collars
2,5 mm crochet hook (or according to the yarn) - Polyester fiberfill for stuffing - Yarn needle, scissors, stitch markers or a piece of yarn, pins - 8 mm plastic eyes

Hi, I am new to crochet but a good knitted I am about to start the black for the nose. Your pattern asks for dec x 4, inc x 4, dec.
If I do that then one side of the nose would have Dec the other increase so I am thinking my starting point is wrong? I. Am thinking the decrease should be the bottom of the nose and the increase should be the top half is that correct?
Hi! Yes, row 25 in the pattern is exactly like that. But when I tighten the hole with a needle, the nose always turns out like in the photo. The area where the color changes is visible. And, since we crochet amigurumi in a spiral, there's always a slight warp. But stuffing the piece and the elasticity of crochet fabric helps correct this if needed. So, my answer is yes, I always do exactly as described in the pattern. Sveta
