Tutorial doubleface potholders Easter with Chicks and Rabbit

Product description

Just in time for Easter, these double-sided potholders feature chicks and bunnies. The 4 designs on these potholders can be combined in any way you like.

If you enjoy needlework and want to try a new technique, this is the pattern for you. The Doubleface technique is not difficult to learn, but offers the opportunity to create truly unique potholders. Whether for yourself, as a gift for a loved one, or simply as an Easter surprise is up to you.

The special thing about these potholders is that you can create two completely different sides for one potholder. The technique also makes the potholders nice and thick and therefore insulating excellently. At the same time, you save on sewing the threads - except for the finish - as they are worked directly into the potholder.

If there is anything in the instructions that you do not understand or if you have any questions about the technique, please simply ask by e-mail.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required.

Level of difficulty: middle (for advanced users)

Knowledge of the doubleface technique is not required. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions in order to grasp the principle. After that, implementation is not difficult anymore.

With this download you will receive a detailed, 15-page PDF file with the description and photos of the technique in German and English (US terminology). The description contains the graphic counting templates and colored number blocks for each row. In addition, instructions of the basic technique of doubleface crochet with enlarged photos and a video tutorial are provided. The files are for personal use only!

Size Information

The finished pot holders have a size of approx. 18 cm x 18,5 cm.

Materials List

You will need about 2 balls of wool (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania or comparable quality) in the basic color and about 0.5 balls in orange, leftovers in green (about 15-18 g), yellow and brown (about 6-8 g each) and black as well as a crochet hook that fits the thickness of the wool.

If you like my instructions, I will be happy to receive a positive review.
