I knitted several of these styles for my new grand baby. The patterns were easy to follow. The finished products looked great. Unfortunately, none stay on babies feet. The pattern is designed for the angle of the ankle area to be 90°. Young babies haven’t had a chance to bear weight on their feet so their ankles do not rest at 90°. For that reason these booties always slip off.
To make them stay on I wove-in a little drawstring at the ankle that could be tied in a bow. That solved the problem.
