A waste of money

This pattern is not for a knitter at all. I have been knitting for over 45 years and this pattern does not make sense at all. Such a shame as it looks gorgeous. I can use the shape and how it is put together but I will have to make up my own pattern. Such a disappointment and really sorry I bothered to buy it.

Hallo, Andrea,
musste einfach mal sehen, was es mit dieser Bewertung auf sich hat. Als ich dann die Kommentare las, habe ich mich kringelig gelacht - sorry, aber diese wortwörtlichen Übersetzungen ins Englische sind einfach zu drollig. Habe mir mal in einem Englisch-Kurs einen Spaß erlaubt und Ludwig Thoma's Lausbubeng'schichten - von weiß nicht wem wortwörtlich ins Englische übersetzt - unserem nicht der deutschen Sprache mächtigen Teacher als Unterrichtsmaterial gegeben: hierin kam u.a. die Redewende "I only understand station" und "it goes about the sausage" vor, das löste auch solche Reaktionen aus - köstlich.. Danke für diese herrlichen Lachmomente :-) Die Anleitung ist Gold wert, würde die Version 1.0 in jedem Fall aufbewahren :-)

glad some things have been cleared up but I still am at a loss as to knit right and knit left. by looking down in the pattern it seems that knit right may mean garter stitch (knit every row)
but knit left has me baffled, do you perhaps mean right side row (RS) or wrong side row (WS). Perhaps you could look at an English knitting pattern and take the set up and language from there.
