From my craft workshop: Freshly dished-up: the “JULSTAR”

✭ 10-pages written tutorial with pics and graphs
**✭You need ca. 3 skeins of: Fingering/1 /group A/ 3 ply,
mercerized 100 % cotton; e.g. in dark-gray (or your choice),
50 g (1.8 oz), 125 m (137 yds) yardage, Wpi: 19
✭ Optional: metalized glimmering thread col.: silver; often available in spools,
e.g. (Weight/yardage: 0.4 oz (10 g) = approx 766 yds (700 m)
✭You need 2 different hooks: EU 3,0 (& 3,5) – US C/2 (& E/4)
✭ Skill level: Easy / Terminology: EU/US-American Crochet Terms
✭JULSTAR?✭
Scandinavian people say “God jul” in holy time, as well as “Merry Christmas”
or “Frohe Weihnachten” in Germany.
This tablecloth has been crocheted in the old-fashioned Filet technique.
Very popular in the 1970th. So…time to fresh up this amazing crochet-art.
You have to work with a special stitch: the extended double crochet (edc)
and special method: the gradual in- & decrease at edge.
But don´t worry about it: You will find a Filet Grid Chart, written explanations
and in addition a starching/blocking tip after your JULSTAR-laundry.
Width/diagonal after blocking: ca. 90cm (35”), suitable for many dining tables.
Slightly thinner/thicker yarn, and/or smaller/larger hook, will create other sizes of course;
so you can work e.g. with thin crochet cotton size 10 to get a small Hardanger star on your table.
God jul!
✭✭✭✭✭✭Sparkling regards from Mrs. Bidder! ♥♥♥
Pattern also available in German Language/Deutscher Sprache
With ✭starlight✭ and enthusiasm in your eyes technically feasible in 2 days.
