English Pattern Baby Comforter Dog

Hi, does anyone have any advice which hook they used, I’ll be using some 8ply cotton yarn. 😊 thanks in advance

Is the dog's body folded in half and slipped stitched together or is a flat square that the head, arms and legs are sewn to? Its hard to see from the photos. Thank you for your reply.
