Poor pattern Instructions are not good Although I am a proficient crocheter I tried it more than once & the pattern did not work out correctly

I really haven't made a concentrated effort to crochet this pattern. Not a very experienced at crocheting (have knitted for 65 years). I will try again sometime in the future. Certain it is me and not the pattern.
